Kraken is the anti-tracker built into Krodium. It sits in the toolbar beside the address bar. Click it and Kraken blocks ads, trackers and annoyances on every site. Click again to turn it off. It is not an add-on, and it starts off, so nothing changes until you decide.

Kraken blocks ads, trackers and annoying pop-ups on every site, before they load, so pages are lighter and your battery lasts longer.

Turning Kraken on also switches on strict tracking protection and fingerprinting protection, so sites find it much harder to recognise your browser.

Kraken encrypts your DNS lookups with DNS over HTTPS, so the sites you look up are not readable by anyone watching the network.

Kraken stops WebRTC from revealing your device's IP address to the sites you visit.

To be clear, Kraken does not hide your public IP address from the websites you visit. Kraken Relay, coming later, is planned to do that. Kraken replaces Krodium Shield, which arrived in version 0.4, and is part of version 0.5.
