Extensions

Add features to the browser and to the pages people visit. Package a WebExtension as a .krx, .xpi or .zip and we read the manifest and show people exactly which permissions it asks for.

Web apps

Give your website its own window, its own icon and its own storage. Point us at your site and its web app manifest, and Krodium does the rest.

Share installers for macOS, Windows and Linux alongside your extensions. We store them securely and publish a SHA-256 checksum with every download.

From idea to the Store in four steps.

Create your account

Sign in with Viremail, tell us who you are, and accept the Developer Agreement.

Get verified

Upload your identity document or, for a company, prove you control your domain.

Submit a listing

Add your icon, screenshots and package. We check the package the moment it arrives.

Go live

A reviewer approves it, and your app appears in the Krodium Store.

Review

A person looks at everything.

  • Plain-language permissions. People see what your extension can do before they install it, in words, not jargon.
  • Clear decisions. If we say no, you get a reason you can act on, and you can fix it and send it again.
  • No surprises. No hidden behaviour, no remote code, no undisclosed data collection. The policies are short and readable.
  • Quick. We aim to review new listings within two working days.

Revenue share

85/ 15

You keep 85 percent of every paid sale. Krodium keeps 15 percent to run the Store, review apps and handle payments.

Free listings cost nothing. Paid sales open when payouts through Stripe Connect are ready, and you can set your price in pounds now.

Identity verification

Why we check who you are.

Software that runs in your browser has to come from someone accountable. Verification keeps the Store honest, protects the people who install your work and protects your name from impostors.

  • Individuals give their legal name, country, address and a government ID, with an optional selfie.
  • Organisations give their registration details and a registration document, and prove they own their domain with a DNS record or a small file on their site.
  • Encrypted at rest. Identity documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and only Krodium reviewers can open them.
  • Deleted after 90 days. We delete your documents 90 days after we decide on your account.

The .krx format

One package for everything Krodium installs.

A .krx file is a zip with a WebExtension manifest and a small krodium.json that names your package. You can upload it unsigned: when we approve it, Krodium signs it for you, so you never hold a private key to lose.
