Getting started

First open on macOS

What to do if your Mac says it cannot check Krodium for malicious software.

This build of Krodium is not yet notarised by Apple, so macOS asks you to confirm it the first time you open it. This is expected, and it happens once.

  1. Open Krodium. If macOS says it cannot check the app, choose Done, not Move to Bin.
  2. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to the Security section. You will see a line saying Krodium was blocked.
  4. Choose Open Anyway, then enter your password or use Touch ID.
  5. Choose Open when macOS asks once more. Krodium starts, and will open normally from now on.

If you would rather check first, compare the checksum of your download with the one on the Download page. See Check your download (krodium.com/help/check-your-download). We plan to notarise future builds so this step goes away.

If Krodium still will not open, see Troubleshooting (krodium.com/help/troubleshooting).
