Privacy settings explained
What each option in Privacy and Security does.
Open Settings from the Krodium menu, or press Command-comma, and choose Privacy and Security.
Kraken
Kraken is Krodium's built-in anti-tracker. It is off until you turn it on. See What Kraken does (krodium.com/help/kraken-overview).
Tracking protection
Enhanced Tracking Protection is on by default, set to Standard, which blocks the most common trackers without breaking sites. Strict blocks more, and a few sites may not work as expected. Custom lets you choose for yourself. To switch protection off for a single site, use the padlock beside the address.
Cookies and site data
Sites store small files on your Mac to remember you. You can clear them at any time. See Clear browsing data (krodium.com/help/clear-browsing-data).
Permissions
Choose which sites may use your camera, microphone, location or notifications.
HTTPS-only mode and DNS over HTTPS
HTTPS-only mode is on by default. See HTTPS-only mode (krodium.com/help/https-only-mode) and Encrypted DNS (krodium.com/help/encrypted-dns).
Global Privacy Control
Krodium sends Global Privacy Control by default, asking sites not to sell or share your data. It is a request, and a site can ignore it, which is why blocking trackers matters as well.
What Krodium sends
Krodium sends no telemetry and no crash reports. See What Krodium sends (krodium.com/help/what-krodium-sends).
