A private window forgets your history, cookies and form entries when you close it. It does not hide what you do from the sites you visit, your network or your internet provider.
- Press Shift-Command-P, or choose New Private Window from the File menu.
- Browse as usual.
- Close the window when you are done. The history, cookies and form entries from that window are gone.
Sites you visit in a private window are never shown under Recently visited on your home screen.
